The process of stripping paint or surface coating causes Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS) to be released into the environment. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been enforcing the HAPS 6H standard to help
reduce those pollutants, reducing the potential for a multitude of health risks to those individuals performing those tasks.


In this class, learn about the different categories the HAPS 6H regulates:
• Paint areas
• Usage of Methylene Chloride (MeCl)
• Spray gun requirements
• Training requirements
• Notification of compliance
• Recordkeeping requirements
